In my perfect world there would be no Winter and turning the clocks back one hour was no longer a ‘thing’. So I’ve been savouring every warm and sunny Summer’s day while it lasts. These were taken at Coogee Beach at around 6.30pm and could not have been a more perfect backdrop for my Summer Maxi. Wearing Sacha Drake Australia as a beach kaftan of sorts instead as I opted to wear a black bikini underneath to bring out its stunning what I am calling ‘electrified tie dye’. Looking back I’ve coincidentally put together quite a patriotic look of sorts with the green and gold! Wearing Melbourne based Mettle Fair trade gold necklace which I am in love, it surprisingly made me feel powerful with its bold and weighty geometric shape that kind of has a Olympic Gold Medal vibe going on.

Treasuring the splashes of the waves at my feet and sand in my toes as the breeze brought this dress to life. Nothing is more calming and relaxing than frolicking in the beach, perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. I hope you can close your eyes and you are being transported to my little happy moment as you read this!

Light and bright is my go to for summer dress up fun. BUT WAIT I’ve mixed girly fun with an unexpected twist – leather!! Oh yes, my mini is in fact white leather!! Who would have thought the 80’s retro favourite could make such a chic and edgy come back!

Aussie label Kirsty Irwin nailed my style into one fab maxi skirt. White leather, thigh high split and sheer panels… whoa I feel like she knows me.

My literally airy and breezy singlet by another Aussie label Soot the Label, complemented my light and bright theme. Feminine, bright and versatility rolled into one!

Does something seem familiar here though? If you’re a regular reader you may recognise these candy popping Novo wedges and I also wore these in this same exact location here. Completely unintentional but the ferns and wilted birds of paradise were calling me my name!

Who loved Triple Swirls growing up! I instantly thought of the delightful summer ice cream as soon as I saw these silk graphic pants with its flurry of pretty pinks and purples. Even more so when we stumbled across this amazing graffiti art with its gradient of sunset shaded swirls.

This Staple the Label number is so fun and summery, perfect for any festive celebrations coming up. My high shine Nine West disco heels takes me straight into party mode and works perfectly against the bright shades. Paper bags style pants work perfectly with a form fitting or cropped top, this magenta racer style singlet is totally fitting with this strawberry chuppa chup lollypop look I’m going for- complete with my giant chuppa chup bun head. My boyfriend loves to call me this whenever I wear my hair like this, ahh which is quite regularly.

I use my old ‘horse tail’ pony tail extensions to create an extra-large bun like this. So if you’re like me and spent your childhood and adolescence performing in eisteddfods then maybe you too will have (5) hair pieces lying around, so even though the horse tail high pony tail look has died and will never resurface, keep them and we can all be chuppa chup heads together!!

Hmm do I always relate my looks to confectionary items?

Did I mention that I love floral print? Pretty sure you would know by now! Especially paired with my iridescent white shirt. Don’t think the camera quite picks it up but it’s a great feminine fun twist on a tailored white button down.

The purples and greys perfectly complements Spring’s Jacaranda trees. These delicate blossoms literally covered every car and was flooded in this Surry Hills back alley. A dream shot of mine was to create a shower of flowers as they descend defocused in the background. Many attempts of poking and prodding the branches took place with a failed result of a few measly flowers falling out. But hey we tried, I’m sure plenty more opportunities of creating a dream scenic moment will come up, flowers and floral print included.

After shooting at the iconic Bondi Beach I had to stop and remember what a beautiful city I/ we live in! Looking at this gorgeous colour palette and artwork of the strip is truly inspiring. Nothing clears the mind more than the smell and sounds of the beach! Plus Bondi’s relaxing atmosphere with everybody out having fun and appreciating the stupendous sun, brilliant blue sky and sea. This is now my second comfortable/ casual outfit in a row and I am hoping you are enjoying it as much as I am!

For those of my subscribers not from Sydney or Australia, here’s a couple shots of the strip for you. I just had to post these for my non Aussie readers, the essence and culture of Bondi is essentially captured within these wildly imaginative legal graffiti artworks.

The hat, I’m obsessed and adore this magenta colour and it does its job of shielding my face from the harsh Aussie sun. I must admit I may have channelled a certain musical idol of mine subconsciously, bet you can’t guess who

. Oh and the shoes! Can’t get more Bondi Hipster than a pair of loafers, I love the floral print on these. I remember having a very similar canvas pair when I was about 8, and I used to think I was so bad ass wearing it with my overalls! Wearing my favourite shade in these Story by Tang shorts was a no brainer and I haven’t worn a printed tee in ages so I’m happy to continue with many more ‘firsts’ ‘haven’t in ages’ and childhood revivals on this blog! Overall cutesy sorbet shades, prints and florals.. vanilla sweet!
